Electrical and lighting systems are critical to homeowners - we use them every day, all day. Both systems have increasingly complex options and concerns for safety and health so we've created these courses to walk you through the various choices you can make.
Residential electrical systems have significant safety concerns though there are also many other issues to address such as layout and voluntary upgrades. We'll show you the components involved, minimum standards for layouts and where you can choose to exceed the minimum standards for much better convenience and comfort.
There's very little guidance for lighting requirements in residential properties so, in our experience, lighting is getting worse due to new fixtures that are easier to install and longer-lasting yet introduce a significant amount of glare into our spaces and may have light color temperatures that make it difficult to rest well. Our lighting course will walk you through components, layout strategies (including layering) and emerging technologies to help you enjoy healthier, more comfortable spaces.

This bundle is a part of our How Your House works series and includes two courses: electrical systems and lighting design in your home. We've made them available as a bundle to reduce your education costs.
