We created this course for people who wish to know what the components of properties are called. You can immediately employ these terms and language in maintaining, describing and discussing properties… even your own.
We’ll help you find the terms and build descriptive language by covering the following:
- Ancient elements: honest structures
- Arches: vaults and domes
- Classical orders + elements
- Types of pediments + inappropriate designs
- Roof shapes
- Exterior elements: hardscape
- Walls: cladding materials
- Door + window elements
- Eave components
- Roofing types + elements
- Fireplace + chimney elements
- Interior elements: mouldings
- Ceiling types + details
- Casework elements
- Stair components
- Structural system components
- Building system components
This exploration of details and individual components will help you better describe the elements of a home and draw attention to the elements you wish to highlight.
You’ll learn how to identify elements, avoid common incorrect descriptions and spot inappropriate elements… all in preparation for the question, "What's that called?"
Register now and plan to join us for a live discussion of architectural elements. We welcome your questions as we go. We look forward to seeing you in our Zoom presentation from 10 AM to 1 PM Eastern on June 26, 2025!
