How to Prepare for a U.S. Federal Government Phaseout of Refrigerants in Your Heating/Cooling Systems

You have thirty days from your date of enrollment to complete this course.

The U.S. federal government is phasing out refrigerants commonly used in heating/cooling systems. You may be effected, even if you have a gas furnace.

This will effect most heating/cooling systems in the U.S. The systems cannot be retrofitted so we need to prepare for this change now.

  • Enroll now to learn:

  • How do heating/cooling systems use refrigerants?

  • Why are some refrigerants being phased out?

  • Which refrigerants are being phased out?

  • How will the phaseout affect homeowners?

  • What if a homeowner just bought a new system with a refrigerant being phased out?

  • What should homeowners do to prepare for new refrigerants?

  • Are the new refrigerants hazardous?

This is a dry topic though it will affect most homeowners so we need to prepare. Heating/cooling systems are expensive and complex so we’re working to be sure you’re not surprised with unexpected issues. That helps you make more informed decisions in a timely manner - you’re empowered.

We hold frequent meetings so we have an opportunity to check in with you. We welcome your off-topic questions… related to architecture.
