This meeting explores the work of Louis C. Tiffany as a continuation and compliment to our earlier exploration of the Roycroft Campus.

Tiffany is appreciated for his talents in the decorative arts, particularly stained glass. He designed stained glass windows and lamps, glass mosaics, blown glass, ceramics, jewelry, enamels, and metalwork.

The work of Tiffany and the lead craftspeople with whom he worked can be found internationally. We’ll review examples you can visit to study firsthand. We’ll also discuss some of the challenges Tiffany encountered in the course of his life and work.

Here are some examples of topics we'll cover during the virtual tour...

This ceiling was installed in one of the most well-known department stores in the United States.

These famous doors now reside in the lobby of an American hotel that was once the largest hotel in the world.

Landscape in Light is a famous Tiffany window in one of the most well-known museums in America.

The largest Tiffany glass dome in the world is housed within a building that used to be a library.

Tiffany and the artists with whom he worked produced practical yet beautiful items for everyday use.
